PP9366    DLRP - Sorcerer Mickey Hat - Glow in the Dark

This pin went on sale at DLRParis on Jan. 19th. It is a open edition pin. The moon and stars glow in the dark. It appers to be the same as #5251 except for the backstamp-this one is 1/2 by 1/4" and says 'Disneyland Paris' c Disney china - #5251's backstamp is 1/4" sq and says 'Disneyland Resort Exclusive' c Disney china.

Despite being listed as an Open Edition pin, this pin is actually very limited. Upon it's release in Paris, Disneyland officials sent a letter to Paris stating that due to this pin's status as a DL Mystery Pin limited to 1200, it would be "unconscionable to allow the open-ended redistribution of a pin previously released in a limited edition size" and as such, Paris officials pulled and destroyed all remaining pins. However, between 100 and 200 pins had already been sold before DL could notify Paris of the mistake, and as such this pin is extremely hard to come by. The pins from Paris do have one distinction that sets them apart from the DL Mystery Pin, and that is the stamping of "Disneyland Paris" on the back of the pin.
