PP9456    Brier Manufacturing - Sweater Pin (Snow White & Doc)

Front Description

This is one of the first pins created which features characters from a Disney full-length movie. Snow White & Doc from "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" are attached to each other by a fine gold chain.

Made in 1938, this sweater pin was used as a fashion accessory: It was popular for little girls to wear their sweaters around their shoulders without putting their arms through the sleeves; this pin helped hold the sweater on.

It was manufacturered by the Brier Manufacturing Company around 1938, when the movie came out. (Brier Manufacturing was a licensee of Disney Pins between 1935 and 1942.

Other sweater clasps pins in this series are: (#9456), (#16041) and (#19140).
