PP95487    University of Oregon - Donald Duck - Oregon Ducks 1995 Rose Bowl

Front Description

Donald Duck, the official mascot for the Eugene, OR University of Oregon Ducks, is shown on this 1995 Rose Bowl commemorative design.

From the late 1940s until now, U of Oregon had permission to use the likeness of Donald Duck as their mascot. The agreement was made, originally, between Walt Disney and then U of Oregon athletic director Leo Harris.

Donald faces forward, sitting, with feet in front of him. He appears to be leaning forward. His right arm is raised with his hand in a fist; his left arm extends to the right. He has an angry look on his face. He wears the dark moss green letter sweater or jacket of the Oregon Ducks, with a yellow bow tie and dark moss green hat with yellow top.

Beneath him in gold lettering and border and black background, is "OREGON DUCKS" with a smaller "1995 ROSE BOWL" below that.

The pin measures 1 1/8" (29 mm) tall by 1" (25 mm) wide.
