PP95960    People Mover, Green (Sea Foam) Car

Front Description

This is one of a nine pin set designed by Patrick Hurd. The pin sets were made by Pro Pins Metal Manufacturing Ltd.

The nine different pins represent each of the paint schemes of the cars through the history of the Disneyland attraction - including the final repainted version that was displayed in the queue for the Rocket Rod ride.

The 9 pin colors:

Original colors (each with red flashers): blue, yellow, red & green (sea foam)

Later colors (each with green flashers): white w/blue stripe, white w/purple stripe, white w/white stripe, white w/red stripe & the final car displayed at the Rocket Rod queue: dark blue, w/grid of orange stripes. Note: the flashers of the last pin are painted in glow-n-the-dark green.

The pins were sold in sets of 4 of one color each. This replicated the 4-car same color trains that ran the People Mover tracks. Only 25 sets (4 pins each) were made of each color scheme. Therefore there were only 100 pins made of each color.
