Front Description
Replica of original Walt Disney World security shield/badge worn by security personnel when Magic Kingdom opened in 1971. The blue writing on the top front says "Walt Disney World" and underneath that "Security". In the center is a Disney Ears logo within what appears to be a letter D. Underneath the logo is the word "Officer" and under that is the number "1971" (year Magic Kingdom opened). This pin is made of shiny silver metal and measures just over 1 1/2" H X 1 2/16" W. On the back is stamped "Authentic Official Pin Trading 2013 Disney Parks" "© Disney China". There is a number "W185-6930-1-13160" etched on the back and has Mickey ears which overlap the edge of the pin.
This pin was first distributed on August 8, 2013, at a WDW Security Division "Blast From The Past" Cast Appreciation Day to Security personnel only. The theme was the OLD Mickey security policeman (pin #13607) meets the NEW security policeman (pin #88594). The supply of this pin is limited to 2000 pins.
This pin is similar to pin #4992 however this pin is much larger, heavier and made for Walt Disney World Security.
This shield/Badge design is obsolete and no longer used by Disney security.
