Front Description
This lanyard and lanyard medallion was given away at the Disney Soda Fountain in Hollywood, CA for the release of the Wreck-It Ralph Pixar release movie. The medallion was given away as a gift to some movie goers and was also given away to people who showed an in-app redemption code to DSF staff on Disney's "FilmPulse" app. DSF offered a $5 sale movie ticket during a release and that ticket stub could be shown to redeem a medallion also.
The medallion is the Hero's Medal from Hero's Duty, a fictitious video game in the movie Wreck-It Ralph. Ralph needs a medal to prove he's a good guy to the Nicelanders of Fix-It Felix Jr, the game Ralph is from in the movie. Ralph wins the medal by climbing the Cy-bug tower and loses the medal in an escape pod crash in Sugar Rush. Vanellope von Schweetz then takes the medal, thinking it's a gold coin, and uses it to enter the Sugar Rush race to determine the next days playable racers. There has not been a pin of the Hero's medal. DSF produced Felix's medal for their release. There is a third medal in the movie which also has not been created as a pin yet.
The lanyard was blue and the medallion was gold. One side of the medallion was the "Hero's" logo and on the other side is the Wreck-It Ralph movie logo. On this side there is a © Disney. The medallion came in a small clear plastic bag with a sticky strip on the flap.
