Front Description
This is last of a series of four related Chinese New Year pins released by HKDL for the Year of the Horse 2014.
The pin comes with two separated element - the main diamond-shaped one and a long rectangular one. Both shapes reflect traditional decorations hanged in Chinese homes over the new year. The rectangular element can be dangled from the bottom of main element through a fastening like those common in necklace.
This main element of this pin is in red and features the chinese character "step". The characters in each of the four pins in this series can be combined together (with this being the last) to form the message "making improvement/progress in the year of horse". Three mickey shaped patterns are also printed on the background, the "face" of which is a common Chinese decorative pattern. Daisy wears a purple bow and coat and a pink dress. She holds a bunch of pink and purple flowers in her left hand.
The dangling element is designed as scroll and has a spinner element. The four characters on the front is a common Chinese New Year greeting meaning along the line of "having one's home filled with joy and happiness". The characters of the back of the spinner reads 2014, with the "0" decorated in a hidden mickey (see picture of #99414 for the back showing 2014)
