Front Description
D23 Presents Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives on exhibition at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, IL, from October 16, 2013 thru May 4, 2014.
This pin is one of a set of storybook like pins that features a stained glass element on a hinged pin. Each pin highlights a particular film released by Disney that is represented by an artifact in the archives exhibit.
The closed cover on this pin is a gold frame with the look of the riveted metal of the Nautilus from the feature film, 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. The blue "stained Glass" panel in the center of the frame has the archive exhibits logo in various white fonts, which reads, "D23 Presents Teasures of the Walt Disney Archives Museum of Science and Industry." There are two Giant Squid tentacles (brown with pink suction cups) curling around the top and bottom of the frame. When this hinged pin is opened it reveals a purple-hued underwater scene from the movie showing divers from Captain Nemo's submarine, the Nautilus, walking on the bottom of the sea.
