PP99927    DLR - Polynesian Boy Chaser - It's a Small World - Hidden Mickey 2014

One of seven pins from the 2014 It’s a Small World set of Hidden Mickey pins that was released in Wave A at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Each cut-out pin is loosely based on a different Small World doll with a sign that says Hello and/or Goodbye in their own language. The small Hidden Mickey icon can be found in different places on each pin. Pins were originally only available by trading with a cast member. In 2014, pouches containing two random 2014 Hidden Mickey pins were available to purchase for $12.99.

This silver Chaser pin features a smiling Polynesian boy with a sign that says ALOHA under his left leg. (Aloha is a greeting used for both Hello and Goodbye!) He’s staring straight ahead (left leg raised) and strumming his ukulele. His silver shorts are the same color as the flower lei around his neck and the hibiscus behind his left ear. The Hidden Mickey icon appears on the left side of his shorts. [Note: This is a little BOY, not a girl, as so commonly thought. This pin, in color and as the silver chaser, has been faked in large quantities.]

The five common pins (released at both parks) include a Polynesian boy, Jose Carioca from Mexico, Peter Pan from the United Kingdom, a Japanese girl and puppet Pinocchio from Italy.
