Cinderella is one of a series of pins commissioned by Walt Disney to be produced to coincide with the original release of the movie "Cinderella" in 1950. Cinderella is gold in color (not sure if actual gold). Her body faces forward with her arms at her side. Her dress is painted white, including the shoulders, but the upper portion and trim of the dress are gold. On the dress are 11 light blue jewels. Cindy's hear is painted yellow; a black hair piece, her eyes and a necklace are painted black. It appears to be hand-painted as was the norm back then, as there is white paint spillage on part of the back. The original owner of this pin said she begged her mom to get this pin after seeing the original release of the movie. It is a cast (not Cast Member, but cast as in the process in which it was created) pin with a clasp back. According to a Tomart's staff member, there are also 2 other pins in the series. The pin measures 1 1/16" (2.7 cm) wide and just over 1 1/2" (3.9 cm) tall.
