To me it looks like the enamel is messed up but I have heard that soft/uneven enamel is not always a sign of a scrapper so now I'm questioning everything. Around one of the pupils, he has a slightly different white ring than the rest of the eye as well.

I'm really new to this so I am still learning all of the signs.

I thought he might be PP113343, as that lists a gold back.

So even though the enamel is a little wonky, it's ok? Still new and learning lol.

The 'grainy' or 'pitted' texture on the metal on the front of your pin would give me pause @Midwest_Kristin that is always one of the first things I look at as many scrappers have that quality. However that might just be the photo angles it's sometimes hard to tell from just a picture or if a pin has gotten banged up.

@Midwest_Kristin Knowing what the pin should look like is half the battle of deciding whether or not your pin is authentic. It's not uncommon for authentic pins to have flaws, so that doesn't always make a pin a bad one. While some flaws can be the sign of a fake, don't judge your pin on a single type of flaw. It's good to compare coloring, font/line thickness, shape of the Mickey-icon, typos, enamel fill/dips/overflow, etc., but still keeping in mind that many authentic pins can have one or more of these issues.
