Released at the D23 Event "Attraction Rewind" held at WDW November 21 - 23. Pin was at the Mickey of Glendale D23 shop that was set up for the Event.
This Pleasure Island Limited Release Mystery 8-Pin Collection features the various logos of the venues formally found in Pleasure Island at Walt Disney World. Six of the pins are limited to 250, 1 chaser is limited to 150, and 1 super chaser is limited to 100.
Pleasure Island opened emulating Church Street Station in Downtown Orlando, Florida. At that time, this was a highly successful gated attraction which offered admission to multiple clubs for one price. The legend the Disney Company created is that Pleasure Island was based on the fictitious owner, Merriweather Adam Pleasure, and was carried on into one of its clubs, The Adventurers Club. Every night at midnight, "New Year's Eve" was celebrated at Pleasure Island with a fireworks show. This tradition lasted from 1990 through New Year's Eve 2005, and all the clubs closed on September 27th 2008.
