PP19442    WDW - Walt Disney and Tinker Bell - 2002 Princess Ball - Lanyard Set - Black Frame

On 23 Feb 2002, the Magic Kingdom held the Princess Ball pin event with a cost of $25 per person plus park admission to attend. Each attendee was to receive a lanyard and this pin, which was limited to 1,000 and is a very nice pin. A small sign at the event distribution area stated that some of these pins were not up to Disney standards, so a replacement would be mailed to all event attendees. On 3 May 2002, the pin shown here was mailed as the replacement.

This pin features a black-and-white photo of a seated Walt Disney inside a black-and-gold frame. Tinker Bell (pin-on-pin element) is in the top-right corner. The text at the bottom reads: "There is no art more fascinating than magic." -- Walt Disney. This is an LE 1000, thought to be less due to breakage. The replacement pin (PP11537) was also LE 1000.
